HORRIGAN CORPORATION

 

Bonnie J Horrigan, Vice President of the Horrigan Corporation, served as the Executive Director of The Bravewell Collaborative, a philanthropic organization that seeks to transform healthcare and improve the health of the nation.  She works for Duke Integrative Medicine as a communications consultant and core faculty for the Leadership Program In Integrative Healthcare at Duke and sometimes partners with GYMR, a public relations firm based in Washington DC, as a senior counselor.

 

She is the author of two books: Red Moon Passage (Harmony, 1996) and Voices of Integrative Medicine: Conversations and Encounters (Elsevier Science, 2003) and has published more than 200 articles in such places as Spirituality & Health; Science & Spirit; The Inner Edge; Advances in Mind Body Medicine; Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine; EXPLORE: The Journal of Science and Healing; Hospitals and Health Networks Daily; and San Diego Magazine, among others. She also penned four national reports for The Bravewell Collaborative, including Integrative Medicine in America, which received over 102 million media impressions upon its release.

 

In 1995, Bonnie co-founded, with Larry Dossey, MD and Jeanne Achterberg, PhD, Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, a breakthrough medical journal examining alternative and cross-cultural healing practices and the relationship of the human spirit to health and healing.  She is currently editorial director for EXPLORE: The Journal of Science and Healing, an indexed medical journal that examines the healing arts, and the connection between spirituality and consciousness and health.
